A message from the Head Teacher
Old Buckenham High School has a fine reputation for providing high quality education in a happy and well-ordered environment. We work hard to deliver a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum so that it is a pleasurable experience, but without compromising traditional standards of excellence. Good examination results for all pupils will always be a priority. We have established a friendly, family atmosphere where parents and visitors are always welcome to see us at work. We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities and pupil involvement in the life of the school. This website has been prepared to try to give you some idea about the life and work of the school and also to serve as a reference for parents. For those who move to us from the local primary schools, much will be done in the form of primary/secondary liason, staff discussions and preliminary visits by parents, teachers and pupils to ensure a smooth transition. For those who have joined us from outside the catchment area, we will do our best to help them settle quickly. We will be freely available to smooth out any minor difficulties on transfer and have no doubts that your children will enjoy fruitful academic and social experiences at Old Buckenham High School.
